Bauhaus Documentary Exhibition Inaugurated in the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University
As a commemoration of 90-year anniversary of the foudation of Bauhaus, at 10 o'clock on January 12nd, 2010, "90 years: Path of the Bauhaus-The Documentary Exhibition of its History,Legacy, World and China" was held in the Art Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University.



The exhibition is co-curated by Hang Jian, who is the vice dean of the Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, and Jin Daiqiang, who is the vice dean of the Academy of Design of Shantou University.
The exhibition is displayed in 5 parts, including "The Truth of Bauhaus ", "Ulm’s Succession and Criticism", "Bauhaus in the U.S.", "China and Bauhaus", "In East Asia: Japan, China Taiwan and Hong Kong S.A.R.". The fourth and the fifth part have a unique research value.
"The Truth of Bauhaus": answer what is the Bauhaus objectively by telling something ahout the evolution of Bauhaus ideas, the change of Bauhaus, Bauhaus manifesto, teaching system, exhibition and public image, and so on.

"Ulm’s Succession and Criticism": The Bauhaus’ ideal before it was closed 30 years ago, has been reproduced in Ulm, including the exploration of those idealistic and post-war neo-functionalism.

"Bauhaus in the U.S.": Bauhaus has grown in the United States and has brought a new design education system and social environment design concepts, which helps to form an international style that affects the world.

"China and Bauhaus": Show something about Pang Xunqin, Chen Zhifo, Lei Guiyuan, Zheng Ke, Zhang Ding and other Chinese designers. It also reviews the development of design in China.

"In East Asia: Japan, China Taiwan and Hong Kong S.A.R.": Bauhaus design make an effect on the basic education in Japan. And China Taiwan and Hong Kong's design and design education is link with Japanese design education, so the exhibition also shows the relationship between Bauhaus and China.

Exhibition also shows three Bauhaus images works, including "Bauhaus: the face of the twentieth century", "Bauhaus myth" and "Bauhaus in the United States".

In order to work perfectly, Ma Quan, who is the Head of Academy of Fine Arts Visual Communication Design of the Tsinghua University, and Yang Dongjiang, who is the deputy director of the Department of Environmental Art and Design Associate, work together with their design team to finish a creative job.
The exhibition will continue until January 18th, 2010, in the Hall 1-3 of the Art Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University.
